If you have any unusual symptoms, please stay at home. If you have traveled outside of DC, Maryland or Virginia or have been exposed to COVID-19, please consider staying at home.
Masses are celebrated at 5:30pm (Saturday) and 9am, 12 Noon, and 5:30pm (Sunday) inside the church. Mass is celebrated at 4pm (Sunday) at Holy Rood Cemetery. Midweek, Masses are celebrated on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 5:30pm and Thursdays and Fridays at 9am. Signups for the next week of Masses are available at the signup below.
At this point, seating inside the church is at a maximum capacity while maintaining six feet of physical distance between participants. Face coverings must be worn upon arrival and throughout the liturgy.
Notes about Masses in Church: On the day of the liturgy for which you register, please arrive at the Northwest (Upper School) corner of the church to check in and be seated by an usher. All other doors will be locked. All seating is preassigned and there are no changes. There is no assembly singing and Holy Communion will be distributed under the form of bread in the hand, only.
Notes about Masses at Holy Rood: Mass will take place outdoors at Holy Trinity Columbarium. To arrive at Mass, participants must walk up a steep, paved path and then down a grassy slope. The seating area is a grassy lawn which is slightly sloped and interspersed with tombstones. Please do not sit on or lean against the tombstones. Participants should bring their own blankets or sturdy chairs to sit on during the liturgy. Participants should wear supportive shoes (e.g., sneakers) and consider layers of clothing or blankets, sunscreen, and hats according to the weather forecast. Participants are asked to consider the physical abilities of all members of their group before signing up for this liturgy. There is no parking lot at Holy Rood and the distance from the street to the columbarium is significant for people with mobility issues. There is street parking on Wisconsin Avenue, 35th Street, and in the surrounding neighborhood.
In the case of rain, outdoor Mass will be canceled. The rain call will be made and all attendees will receive an email if the Mass is cancelled.
Walk-ins are not permitted.
If registrations are full or your health concerns prevent you from participating in-person, consider logging into a livestream our 9am Sunday Mass. The Mass will also be available to watch anytime after 9am on Facebook or our homepage if you do not catch the livestream.
