Violence Prevention in Youth

Sunday, November 10 | 10:15 AM, Trinity Hall

The Social Justice Committee welcomes Tia Bell, MA, founder of the T.R.I.G.G.E.R Project, and Professor Eduardo Ferrer, Policy Director of the Juvenile Justice Initiative.

Gun violence is the number one cause of death for youth in our country. Not cancer or car accidents, but gun violence. It does not have to be this way.

The epidemic of gun violence is curable if we can find the will to adopt and meaningfully implement a public health approach and ensure that all our youth have what they need to thrive.

Join us in connecting with community partners working on this issue, raising awareness of the root causes & risk factors that perpetuate gun violence among youth, and learning more about the role you can play in strengthening and spreading the ecosystem seeking to prevent such violence.
