Trinity Faith Sharing Groups

"The group really helped to ground me throughout the season, helped me engage more deeply with the weekly readings, and helped me feel more closely tied to the Holy Trinity community. I think it also gave me great consolation and helped me approach other aspects of my life more joyfully, peacefully, mindfully, and with greater balance."

Holy Trinity's Ignatian Spirituality & Prayer Ministry invites parishioners to participate in a small faith sharing group for one or more 6 to 8 week one-hour sessions in the Fall, Winter and Lenten season. Trinity faith sharing groups offer parishioners a chance to meet in a small group to discuss the Sunday scriptures and the ways they intersect with our lives.

When and Where?

We offer online and in-person options for all of our sessions.  Registrants will be asked to select their first and second choices of times offered on the registration form.  We accommodate as  many registrants as we can depending on the availability of leaders. Parishioners are given priority over non-parishioners.

When considering whether to register for a faith sharing group, please assess your availability for all gatherings in the session.  Continuity in the group is important.  We ask that you commit to all gatherings with no more than two planned absences.

What is Faith Sharing?

Faith sharing is an invitation to deepen faith and deepen community. It focuses more on the heart of things, and God's interaction in our daily lives, than on scripture study. Although it won't be the focus, information on the context and meaning of the scriptures will be provided to the groups to support their core emphasis on finding God in all things. Our groups use a set format (provided below) that incorporates Ignatian practices (including sharing spiritual consolations and desolations, and listening to invitations from God) designed to encourage discernment.

"A safe space for sharing, enriching experience to learn from others, to know we, as parents, share many of the same concerns, inspiring to see others share the same feelings about the strength and power of praying together."
- Fall 2023 HTS participant

"Joy! Such joy! It was really wonderful being part of the group and I am so grateful for everyone's willing, open sharing. I left the group encouraged and challenged to think about God in a new way. I definitely noticed an increase in faith and trust in God, as well as a more open heart."
