Enroll in Religious Education Programs

Sunday Morning Religious Education (RE) Classes

Holy Trinity's Faith Formation and Religious Education Department provides religious education classes for children in kindergarten through high school on Sunday mornings. To enroll your child(ren) in RE classes, you must complete these four steps:

  1. Verify your family's information via the Archdiocese's portal, My Own Church (MOC).
    • When using the navigation tabs in Parishsoft/MOC, you need to select a navigation option in the blue bar below the main navigation tabs, even if there is only one. See FAQ #1, step B.
    • The mobile version of the Parishsoft/MOC site does not have the ability to register for classes. However, there is the option to view the "Full Site" from a mobile device. You will just need to pan and zoom a lot. There is a "Full Site" button at the bottom of the mobile site's pages.
  2. Register your child(ren) for RE class in My Own Church. (Note: this does not complete your enrollment).

  3. Complete the supplemental information for each child, noting which areas you will provide volunteer assistance during year. Click here to access the supplemental information form.  (This form is required because we need to collect additional information not provided in your MyOwnChurch account.)
  4. Complete payment online. Click here to go to the payment portal. If you pay by check, mail your payment to RE Department, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3513 N Street NW, Washington, DC 20007. On the memo line please put "RE" and the number kids. If also paying for confirmation prep with the same check, add "+ Confirmation" and number of kids for confirmation. Payments must be postmarked by the deadline.

Complete enrollment between April 1 - May 31 — $200/child
Complete all four steps by May 31 and we will guarantee your child's placement and section assignment. Fee: $200/child

Complete enrollment between June 1 - August 1 — $300/child
Complete all four steps after June 1 and we will guarantee your child's placement but NOT a section assignment. $300/child

Complete enrollment after August 1 — $300/child
After August 1, children will be placed as space and catechists are available. Fee: $300/child

New families pay $200/child.

Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

Generally, children celebrate their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in the second grade. Click here to read about the requirements to celebrate these Sacraments.

To enroll your child(ren) in sacramental prep, you must complete these three steps:

  1. Register your child(ren) for sacramental preparation in My Own Church. (Note: this does not complete your enrollment).
  2. Complete the supplemental information for each child. Click here to access the supplemental information form.  (This form is required because we need to collect additional information not provided in your MyOwnChurch account.)

There is no fee for preparation for these Sacraments.

Sacramental Preparation for Youth Confirmation

Sacramental preparation for youth Confirmation is a two-year process. Generally, youth begin the Confirmation preparation program in 7th grade, and they are confirmed in the spring of their 8th grade year. Read more about youth Confirmation preparation.

To enroll your 8th grader in the Youth Confirmation Preparation Program for 2019-2020, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Register your child(ren) for sacramental preparation in My Own Church. (Note: this step does not complete your enrollment.)
  2. Complete the supplemental information form for each child. This form is required in order to collect additional information not provided in your MyOwnChurch account.
  3. Complete payment online. ($100) If you pay by check, please mail your payment to RE Department, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3513 N Street NW, Washington, DC 20007. Payments must be postmarked by the deadline.
