The General Secretariat of the Synod has released the third Final Report of the Study Groups established by Pope Francis following the First Session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops.
The report published was that of Study Group No. 5 on Women’s participation in the life and leadership of the Church. Additionally – On Saturday January 24, Holy Trinity parishioners and staff held an in-person parish listening gathering on Women in Ministry in the Church. The gathering was an opportunity to listen to one another on this important topic in a facilitated process.
Following the session, two documents were released:
- A Final Report issued after the listening session.
- A compendium of notes taken during the listening session.
