Holy Trinity’s Young Adult Community offers two retreats each year: Spring and Fall. The Fall 2026 Retreat will take place at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land, which is located in Washington, DC, on October 24th. The Spring 2027 retreat is scheduled for the weekend of April 30 – May 2, 2027 at Loyola on the Potomac in Faulkner, MD. Our retreats are peer-led, with opportunities to share in small groups and celebrate the Sacraments. They are in a format that integrates Ignatian spirituality with contemporary issues that are important to us as young adults.

Finding God in All Things: Our Longing for God & God’s Longing for Us
Saturday, October 24, 2026, 9:30am to 5:00pm
An Ignatian retreat for adults in their 20s and 30’s, single or married
Our faith teaches that our loving God has been creating us from our first moments of life, but it can be easy to overlook the action of the divine in the everyday. Through this day away, young adults will explore how God has been with us in our journey so far and where God is meeting us in our lives now. Periods of sharing and reflection will be grounded in the spirituality of St. Ignatius Loyola, whose Spiritual Exercises call us to look within and encounter Jesus through our imaginations and unique experiences.
This peer-led retreat will include talks by individual participants, small and large group discussion, time for individual prayer and reflection, the celebration of Mass, and free time during which spiritual conversation and the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered. We will be accompanied on the retreat by our parochial vicar, Fr. John Pignone, SJ.
LOCATION: Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land, 1400 Quincy St., NE, Washington, DC 20017. The retreat center is a 17-minute walk from the Brookland Metro station. We highly recommend you take Metro if possible. There is free parking in the Monastery lot on a first-come basis. Street parking may be available but may be time-limited. Carpools will be available.
TIMING: We ask that participants arrive at 9:30 am for registration. The retreat will start promptly at 10:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.
