Fr. McKenna Center

The Father McKenna Center is an independent 501(c)3 in the Ignatian Catholic tradition, steps from the US Capitol in Washington, DC. They serve men struggling with homelessness and families in Ward 6 dealing with food insecurity. Items on the Giving Tree list are for children of families in Ward 6. 

Friendship Place

Friendship Place is the premier housing service provider for people experiencing homelessness in the DC region. Our innovative, customized, person-focused programs empower participants to rebuild their lives, find homes, get jobs and reconnect with friends, family and the community, permanently. Items on the Giving list are for family members at the Brooks House.

Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation 

The Foundation exists to support the inspiring work of Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem, which is located just 1,500 steps from the birthplace of Christ. This Catholic teaching hospital is a state-of-the-art maternity and neonatal critical care center serving women, infants, and children throughout the Holy Land. Tags on the tree will be mailed directly to the Foundation.

Georgetown Ministry Center

Georgetown Ministry Center  guides service-resistant, chronically homeless individuals towards stability through provision of a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is treated with respect, street outreach, and advocacy for the homeless. We are fulfilling requests for sleeping bags and hand warmers.

Hope and a Home

Hope and a Home’s mission is to empower low-income families with children in D.C. to create stable homes of their own and to make lasting changes in their lives. Items on the Giving Tree list are for members of the 27 families (children/teenagers) they currently serve.

Mary House
Mary House is a community-based transitional organization that provides housing and support services to low-income immigrant and refugee families. Items on the Giving Tree list are for family members and unaccompanied minors.

Sasha Bruce Youthworks

Olaiya’s Cradle is Sasha Bruce’s signature program for pregnant and parenting youth experiencing homelessness in the District of Columbia. By providing transitional living accommodations, the program promotes long-term economic independence for parenting youth and ensures the well-being of their children. 

We are grateful to Holy Trinity School PreK and 4th graders for providing gifts for infants and toddlers through the Mary’s Baby Shower event. Additional items for mothers are available on tree tags and through the North Pole Wish List.

Spanish Catholic Center

For more than 50 years, the Spanish Catholic Center has been offering medical and dental clinics, job training programs, English classes, a food pantry and case management services in four locations. The Spanish Catholic Center offers holistic services to immigrants from around the world. The multicultural staff of the Center speak more than eight different languages and have experience working with individuals from more than 72 different cultural contexts.

We are grateful to the Holy Trinity School families who have committed to partnering with this organization. Additional items may be purchased through the North Pole Wish List.

St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families

St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families strengthens and supports families on their journey toward stability.  Inspired by Catholic social teaching and Gospel values, St. Ann’s Center provides a nurturing community where families heal from the past, overcome barriers, and take hold of their future. Items on the Giving Tree are gifts for newborns, toddlers and mothers. Gift cards for the mothers may be purchased through monetary donations and gifts for children are available on tree tags.

HT Migrant Familia

Holy Trinity parishioners have been advocating for and accompanying refugees and asylum seekers since 2017. Today, our Familia includes 27 family units from 12 countries. Wish list items for the children may be found on tree tags and on the North Pole Wish List. We have also requested gift cards for our families in active accompaniment.
