Faith Formation

Holy Trinity offers one of the largest Religious Education (RE) and Adult Faith Formation programs in the DC area, serving over 6,000 registered households from DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. We enroll around 500 children in the RE program each year, which includes Shepherd’s Flock, a pioneering program for students with physical or learning challenges.

Drawing on Ignatian spirituality and tradition, and with your support, we provide a foundation for life-long education of the whole person and encourage parishioners to actively live out their faith by serving as men and women living for others. We also seek to enrich this service experience by providing opportunities for reflection where one may challenge preconceived notions and experience a deeper growth.

Your support of the Holy Trinity Adult Faith Formation and Religious Education Ministry allows us to continue offering these programs and opportunities, both online and in person, as we assist adults and children build an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Your help funds programs that offer students a greater understanding of liturgy, sacraments, scripture and service.

Religious Education

Through the Faith Formation/Religious Education ministry, we assist parishioners in building an intimate relationship with Christ, developing a strong Christian community here at Holy Trinity and within the Mystical Body of Christ.

 

Shepherd's Flock

Shepherd’s Flock is an intergenerational program that focuses on children and young people with special needs and their families. Our students may have learning challenges, be on the autism spectrum or have Down syndrome or other genetic conditions.

 

CRS Rice Bowl

Join our faith community—and nearly 13,000 Catholic communities across the United States—in a transformative Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl. During the 40 days of Lent, we will reflect on the impact of global hunger and climate change on vulnerable communities around the word, and we will pray, fast and give alms to help our sisters and brothers in need.
