About Camp Trinity

Deadline to register:  September 9th

Join us September 21-23, 2018 for a weekend of relaxing, playing and praying together at beautiful Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs, VA, an historic and quaint resort in Shenandoah Valley at the foot of a mountain.  What you do is up to you!  There is something for everyone --

Hayrides - relaxing on the porch - capture the flag - sing-along - adult happy hours - Bingo -  hiking -
adult education programs - tennis - fishing - prayer services - Saturday morning children's program - Mass - crocheting & knitting - salamander hunting - middle school program and mixer - toddler parade

Accommodations

It’s not camping! Private rooms (double and twin beds) with baths. Charming and simple. Cribs are available for infants. We try to house families with children of similar  - ages near each other. Six very hearty meals prepared by Shrine Mont staff. Gluten-free and vegetarian meals available.

Newcomers

We especially welcome those who’ve recently discovered the parish, want to get to know parishioners or are simply curious about Camp Trinity. We have a welcome reception Friday evening and an outreach to first time attendees.

Adults

Tony Tambasco, former chair of the Theology Department at Georgetown University and popular lecturer, will explore building bridges of faith - sharing interfaith journeys with family and friends in the adult ed program on Saturday. Adult wine and cheese socials take place each evening. Relax in an Adirondack chair or Appalachian rocker on the spacious porches chatting with others, hike on mountain trails (Shrine Mont is on the edge of the George Washington National Forest), go golfing, play tennis or just enjoy the serenity of early autumn in a beautiful spot. Feel free to sample as many or few of the activities as you choose.

Kids

Great programs are in the works, along with perennial favorites like catching salamanders, sing-along, capture the flag, hayrides and more. Cribs and a playroom are available for infants. There is a Friday night mixer for the middle school set.

Teens

Camp Trinity is a fun way for teens to get to know each other and build their own community.
