Season of Advent 2021

Beginning the Church's liturgical year, Advent (from, "ad-venire" in Latin or "to come to") is the season encompassing the four Sundays (and weekdays) leading up to the celebration of Christmas. The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and also to the anniversary of the Lord’s birth on Christmas. The final days of Advent, from December 17 to December 24, focus particularly on our preparation for the celebrations of the Nativity of our Lord. (From usccb.org).

Service Opportunities

Support the 2021 Giving Tree

We will partner with 10 organizations for Giving Tree, and parishioners will have the option of making a financial donation, signing up to purchase an item, shopping the Amazon Wish List, or pulling a tag of a tree at Church. As we receive the wish lists from our partners, we will share and update the social justice ministry page and include updates in the social justice newsletter. Tree tags will be on display the week of Thanksgiving in the Church. We also welcome donations of wrapping paper, ribbon and boxes! Please drop off at the Christmas Trees at the back of the church or at the front desk of the parish center by December 8. For more information, email Ashley Klick.
