Your Annual Pledge Enables Our Ministries To Transform Lives!

No gift is insignificant; no gift is too small. The life-transforming work of our parish is funded entirely – 100% – by what our parishioners give each year. Some are able to give two-figures; others six-figures.

Homily From The Blue Mosque, Istanbul

Father Ben Hawley, SJ led some 3 dozen pilgrims from Holy Trinity and the DC area on a recent trip to Turkey and Greece. Today, he presents his fourth homily from the pilgrimage, at the 17th Century Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey.

“Perhaps [Sultan] Ahmed can remind us that what seems small to us as we imagine it can be productive beyond our imaging, perhaps beyond our knowing, that what we do in secret may someday be shouted from the housetops.  The image of the seed dropping to earth can give us hope, and that is Jesus’ greatest gift to us..”

Christmas Shopping?

Take a moment to shop for those in need, too. Our elves have hung gift tags for the Christmas trees in the Church!

This year we are providing gifts to Casa Chirilagua, Fr. McKenna Center, Georgetown Ministry Center, Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation, Hope & A Home, Northwest Center, Spanish Catholic Center, Mary House, St. Ann’s Center, and St. Jean Baptiste Sister Parish.

In addition to the tree tags, you may also shop from our Amazon Wish List, use our Giving Tree Sign-Up Genius, or, you can make a donation to the Giving Tree Fund by check (memo should include Social Justice Giving Tree). Please return gifts by December 10 as volunteers will be packaging gifts for pick up on December 14 and 15. Thank you!

Black Catholic History Month

In observance of Black Catholic History Month, a banner has been hung in front of the church honoring six black Catholics on the canonization journey. You can learn about these six remarkable women and men beginning on page 6 of this publication put together by Holy Trinity’s History Committee.
