Text giving is a feature of our online giving platform, ParishSoft Giving (PSG). You may have already used it to make a donation or pledge or pay a fee. The text giving feature is the easiest way to make offertory or pledge gifts when you are not able to establish a regular giving schedule or to make one time Holiday gifts, gifts to national second collections and other special fundraising campaigns.

This video provides an introduction to text giving. The first half of the video shows the process for first time users and the second half shows the simplicity of text giving once you have established an account and payment method (the process for first time users will establish an account and save your payment method for you.)

Can I set up an account to use this without making a gift right now?

Yes, simply use the payment from to register for an account without submitting a payment. Here's how:

Text Give to 202-991-4483 to receive a link to a web payment form.
Tap the link in your messaging app.
When the form loads click "Sign In" and then click the "Register for an Account" link.
Complete the registration process making sure to enter your mobile phone number on the registration form.

Now you will need to add a payment method to your account.

Tap the three bar (or hamburger menu) icon at the top left.
Tap on "My Account" and then tap on "Payment Methods".
Tap "Add Payment Method", fill in your payment method information and tap the "Save" button.

Now whenever you want to make a gift via text message simply text an amount and fund keyword to 202-991-4483. To see a list of active funds, text the word Keywords.

I already have an account. Can I set up my existing account to use Text Giving?

Yes, you just need to add your mobile phone number to your account and ensure that you have a saved payment method.

Text Give to 202-991-4483.
Tap on the link you receive and then tap "Sign In".
Sign in with your email address and password.
Tap the three bar (or hamburger menu) icon at the top left.
Tap "My Account".

Go to https://giving.parishsoft.com/app/Giving/holytrinity/HOLYTRINITYPARISH and click "Sign In".
Sign in with your email address and password.
Click the circle in the upper right side of the screen that contains your initials and then click "My Account".

Add you mobile number to your account:

On the left hand menu, click or tap "Account Info" and then click or tap the pencil icon next to the text messaging bubble icon .
Enter your mobile number, click or tap the "Text Secure Pin" button and then enter the PIN once you received it.

Add a payment method to your account:

On the left hand menu, click or tap "Payment Methods".
If you do not have a payment method listed, click or tap "Add Payment Method", fill in your payment method information and click or tap the "Save" button.
You can also update payment method information and change the default payment method that will be used.

I think I've used the online payment system before but don't know how to access my account. What should I do?

KEYWORD – See a list of active keywords. Keywords are the fund names that we have set up to direct your gifts to the right place.

EDIT – Make changes to your giving account and update contact information and/or update payment information.

REFUND – Need to refund your last gift? You must text “REFUND” within 15 minutes to refund the gift. If you realized the mistake after 15 minutes, contact us at development@trinity.org and we will process the refund. Please provide us with your name, mobile number, amount, fund and date and time that the gift was made.
