Rutilio Grande, a Conversation with Rhina Guidos

March 9, 5pm, Register

Please join members of the Maria Madre de los Pobres committee and Rhina Guidos, the author of “Rutilio Grande: A Table for All” in a conversation about Rutilio Grande, the Salvadoran Jesuit who spoke truth to power and was subsequently murdered by Salvadoran security forces on March 12, 1977. Grande, a close friend of Monseñor Oscar Romero, was one of the first Jesuits to implement small Christian Base Communities in his beloved El Salvador; this legacy lives on in the people of Maria Madre de los Pobres who, like other parishes, live this practice today.
