High School Religious Education
ALL high schoolers are invited to share in fun and fellowship with their peers from 10:15-11:15 am on Sunday mornings. (September-May). High Schoolers come together for the first 10-15 minutes to hear from a speaker and/or take part in an activity and then we break out into small groups by age.
Koinonia means community in Greek and was used by the early Christians to talk about their community. Koinonia is a space and time for youth to come together, eat, have fun, think and share about life, and get to know others. In our first year we are meeting for 6 Wednesday evening events in the fall and 5 Wednesday evening events during Lent. Doors open at 6:15 pm in the Lower School Big Room from 6:15-6:35 students can have dinner and snacks and can hang out and get to know each other. Then we will open up with an activity and short video. Around 7:00 pm we'll break into our small groups to get to know each other deeper and have discussions to explore our own faith and its effects in our everyday life. Koinonia is not Religious Education, Koinonia is a youth group designed to foster community & deep relationships.
