God Our Refuge and Our Strength Retreat

A virtual Ignatian retreat in the time of a global pandemic

Spend a week praying with Scripture passages that: reassure us of God’s presence in this time of a global pandemic, deepen our solidarity with all those who are suffering a loss, live with hope in the present moment, and listen for how Christ invites us to be his disciple.

A one-week-long individually directed virtual retreat made at home for individuals who want to be introduced to praying in the tradition of St. Ignatius Loyola, that is, engaging the intellect, feelings, and imagination.

Dates: June 21-27, 2020 and July 19-25, 2020
Registration Deadline: Sunday, July 5, 2020

As you ponder whether to make the retreat, we encourage you to look at your calendar and consider where, Monday through Friday, you will carve out 30 minutes each day to pray and 30 minutes each day to meet with a spiritual director.

All our spiritual directors are volunteers and will reserve this week of retreat for you. We ask you to be faithful to your time commitment of praying and meeting with your spiritual director Monday through Friday. Our guides will ‘meet’ virtually, using a variety of platforms, such as Google Meet, FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, and the phone.

Retreatants and spiritual guides will gather online in a Zoom room on Sunday, July 19th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm to open the retreat and again on Saturday, July 25th from 8:30 -10:30 am to close the retreat. A Zoom link will be sent to you with confirmation of your participation in the retreat. Questions? moshea@trinity.org
