YAC Social Justice
Holy Trinity's Young Adult Community is committed to a faith that does justice. To that end, we come together both to serve our sisters and brothers in need and also to reflect on and advocate for a more just society. Our Social Justice team seeks to be a part of community efforts that address immediate needs. At the same time, we are trying to figure out ways to systematically change structures that keep the community from thriving. Our goal is to be a part of the parish social justice efforts to bring the YACs energy and spirit into the work that we are partaking as a unified parish.
For all of these opportunities, please contact Mike Daly and Allison Doyle (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you're interested and would like more information.

The YACs host a Day of Service at The Father McKenna Center a few times a year. Volunteers help with prepping and serving two meals and have the opportunity to talk to and engage some of the homeless men. 6-8 volunteers are needed for each shift (7:30am -10:30am and 10:30am - 1:15pm) or feel free to sign up for both.
Each month parishioners are invited to join together in service at a different organization in the Washington DC metro area. Peruse upcoming opportunities and sign up here.
Holy Trinity Catholic Church is hosting regular Saturday and Sunday Dinners for the needy in the Georgetown area. Volunteering involves preparing a dish (main course, side dishes, dessert) for ~30 people, greeting guests, serving your dish, and helping with clean-up. Volunteers arrive at 4:15pm to help with prep and set-up and dinner is served at 5:00pm. Once dinner is complete, clean-up should be done by 6:15pm.
