Parish Pledge

Why Support Holy Trinity with a Pledge?

The Parish Pledge supports not only our own parishioners, but also our DC community and beyond through our Social Justice tithe. 10% of all general operations revenue is dedicated to our Social Justice tithe fund - $1 of every $10 of your pledge!

Other programs like Shepherd's Flock, Ignatian Spirituality retreats, adult faith formation and Religious Education are all made possible through contributions to the Parish Pledge.

Submitting a Parish Pledge also makes it possible for Holy Trinity to plan financially and better steward your gifts. All pledges are non-binding while enabling our parishioners and friends to better budget their yearly contribution to Holy Trinity. Donations made to satisfy a pledge can work on any schedule, begin at any time and be made in a variety of methods (including online). Pledges may be completed either by calling our Development Office at (202) 903-2843, emailing development@trinity.org, or by completing the 2022 Parish Pledge brochure and placing it in the offertory basket or mailing it to the Development Office at 3513 N Street, NW, Washington, DC 20007.

Asking for Parish Pledges begins in November and runs through January. By making an Annual Pledge to Holy Trinity, you are supporting the worship services, ministries, and educational programs that our parish is called to provide. Thank you!

How Your Support Benefits Holy Trinity

Service of the Faith

Holy Trinity serves over 6,000 registered households from DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. Over 2,000 faithful gather for Eucharist each Sunday. Yearly, hundreds of parishioners serve as liturgical and/or outreach volunteers and more than 200 individuals take part in one of our Ignatian Spirituality retreats.

Promotion of Justice

Holy Trinity Parish tithes 10% of ordinary income to support a variety of Social Justice ministries, locally and internationally. The parish initiated the tithe in the 1980s, and since 2006 has contributed more than $4 million to over 70 agencies that serve individuals, households and communities that have been subjectd to historic disparities. Additionally, Holy Trinity parishioners have given countless hours of volunteer service to local and international community organizations.

Educational Excellence

Holy Trinity offers one of the largest Religious Education (RE) and Faith Formation programs in the DC area. We enroll around 500 children in the RE program, which includes Shepherd’s Flock, a pioneering program for students with physical or learning challenges.

Founded in 1818, Holy Trinity School is one of the few coeducational elementary schools in the Jesuit tradition in the United States. The school serves more than 300 racially, ethnically and socio-economically diverse children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Around $675,000 in need-based tuition assistance is distributed annually. Holy Trinity was one of 50 private schools in the country to be awarded the National Blue Ribbon for Excellence by the Department of Education in 2016, and it has been named a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2017 and 2018.
